What are OKRs?

OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results. It’s a goal-setting framework designed to help teams get aligned on what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. For a detailed explanation of OKRs, check out this YouTube video.

Below is an example of OKRs for GlowLife, the fictional company I built a roadmap for in this roadmap template. If you haven’t already, go through the roadmap template so you have context on GlowLife, then come back to this OKR example.

Objective 1: Expand GlowLife Presence on Social Media

Key Results:

  1. Achieve a 30% increase in the number of followers across all GlowLife social media platforms.
  2. Generate a minimum of 100,000 impressions per month on Instagram and Facebook through paid reach.
  3. Generate a minimum of 100,000 impressions per month on Instagram and Facebook through organic reach.

Objective 2: Establish GlowLife as the Preferred Smart Home System for Millennials and GenX in Dry Climates

Key Results:

  1. Conduct a market survey to gather feedback from Millennial and GenX homeowners in dry climates, with a participation goal of 10,000 responses.
  2. Attain a 20% increase in sales specifically to Millennial and GenX customers residing in dry climate regions within the next quarter.
  3. Achieve a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70 or above among Millennial and GenX customers in dry climates, indicating high satisfaction and recommendation rates.

Objective 3: Enhance In-Home Visibility Through Customer Referrals

Key Results:

  1. Implement a customer referral program resulting in a 15% increase in new customer acquisitions through word-of-mouth within the next six months.
  2. Establish a streamlined process for current customers to invite friends and family for in-home product demonstrations, with a target of 500 successful referrals.
  3. Increase the frequency of in-home product demonstrations to an average of three per week per existing customer, creating a network effect and fostering GlowLife adoption.
